Alan Klehr is a Chicago commercial photographer with over 25 years professional experience. I specialize in portraits, architecture, food, and event photography, and my clients range from tech start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. I generally work in Chicago, the Northshore, and various suburbs, though my studio is located in Hyde Park. I documented students at the new Center for the Sciences at Valparaiso University. This state of the art facility offers students the finest in science labs and hands-on teaching, and is an effort to keep Valpo at the foreground of learning.

Last year I photographed a new luxury apartment complex in Schaumburg IL for HPA Design from Dallas.
Nia Mediterranean Tapas
Any food photographer would love to capture colorful and delicious dishes like those prepared at Nia Mediterranean tapas. Owner Nia Asimis draws upon her Greek heritage and her father’s culinary influence in the creation of the Mediterranean-influenced menu at Nia Restaurant on West Randolph in Chicago. I photographed the food, the staff, and the restaurant’s ambiance.
Lake Forest Orthodontist, magazine assignment
Dr Derek Bock and his wife Dr Anokhi Bock are an orthodontist and a pediatric dentist, respectively. They share a practice in the Chicago suburb of Lake Forest and their business was highlighted in the current issue of Orthodontic Product magazine, and I had the privilege of photographing them and their staff.
Chicago Optima Center Apartments
I did comprehensive architectural photography of the new Optima Chicago Center luxury apartments in the Streeterville neighborhood just prior to coming on the market, and the architectural photographs were used in the initial marketing program. These well-designed units have heart-stopping views of Chicago’s near north area and the lake.
